We are committed to understanding your concerns and recommending the most effective approach for your situation.

Getting Started
Usually we will start by an initial consultation with you so we can understand your case and priorities. The initial consultation options are:
| Initial Consultation | Suitable for | Fee |
| Short, up to 20 minutes | Advising about a single issue – eg, is it lawful to deduct training costs from my final pay? | $195 |
| Standard, up to 1 hour | Advising about a more involved issue – eg, what are my prospects in an unfair dismissal claim; how should I participate in a workplace investigation? | $395 |
| Long, up to 2 hours | A complex situation – eg, reviewing an employment contract; advising about bullying and harassment that has occurred over a period of time. | $795 |
You can call us to discuss which consultation type is suitable for your case.
Is your fee Tax Deductible?
Your consultation fee may be tax deductible if it is directly related to your means of earning an income. You can check this with your accountant. If it is then, assuming a marginal tax rate of 32.5%, the “after tax” cost may be:
| Consultation | Fee | “After tax” cost |
| Short | $195 | $131.63 |
| Standard | $395 | $266.63 |
| Long | $795 | $536.63 |
Going Further
If your situation requires further attention after the initial consultation, the fee arrangements that may apply are as follows.
Pay as you go
This is where you pay out-of-pocket expenses and legal fees when requested by us, regardless of the outcome in your case.
Deferred payment
This is where you pay out-of-pocket expenses when requested by us, and legal fees shortly before or at the end of your case, regardless of the outcome in your case.
Please note that we do not accept “no win – no fee” cases.
